Teacher: Mrs. Banks
Class:
2nd grade
Homework:
Your child will bring
home a homework packet on Mondays.
Please help them to complete all worksheets, and return the completed
packet on Friday for a homework grade.
Your child may complete the worksheets in any order as long as they are
all completed (front and back). Your
child’s homework will include a spelling page (the sheet with words on a
pencil) that needs to be completed as well, and they will need to study and
learn how to spell all words on the list for a weekly test on Friday. Your child should not have a problem with the
weekly spelling test if they review their words each night, practice writing
them, and/or spell the words to you aloud as you call them to them.
Uniforms:
Your child must wear the
proper uniform to school each day that follows the Liberty County School System
uniform policy. A copy of this policy
was sent home in your child’s folder during the first week of school. Please let me know if you need another
copy. Please remember your child needs
to wear a belt each day (unless their outfit does not have belt loops). The uniform shirt needs to be white, navy
blue, or red (burgundy shirts are not allowed at JME). Students
who do not follow dress code policy will receive a violation notice with the
corresponding consequence set up in the code of conduct.
Behavior:
Please remind your
child to come to school each day ready to learn with the necessary supplies and
their communication folder. Our expectation
at JME is that every child comes to school demonstrating that they are ready,
respectful, and responsible. Discuss
with your child ways to meet this goal each day, and review with them any
behavior notes that are sent home and how they can improve for the next school
day. Your support in addressing behavior
issues at home is very important to the success of your child and our class as
a whole. Thanks in advance for your
assistance with this important issue.
Class blog:
Please visit our class blog for suggested sites to practice 2nd
grade skills and to see various activities that we participate in at school
throughout the year. You may sign up to
follow our blog to receive notification each time a new post is added to the
website.

Thanks for sharing the site. When will the children receive their grade from last week test.
ReplyDeleteHere are a few important reminders about my classroom procedures although I'm sure you are already familiar with them at this time. Class work and graded / reviewed papers are sent home on Fridays in your child's communication folder. Homework, behavior reports, and the weekly newsletter are sent home on Mondays in your child's communication folder. Homework is due back to school on Fridays. Library books may be checked out throughout the week during our D.E.A.R time (Drop Everything and Read) once a student has read their book(s) and taken an AR test as time permits. Students are responsible for bringing their books home each day and returning them to school each morning as instructed.
